David Dietrich
David Dietrich has been in Washington his entire life. Although he didn’t grow up fishing it wasn’t long into his young adult life that he was exposed to it and he fell in love with fly fishing. It is crazy how the fishing addiction bug changes people after they get bit by it.
David began working at the Puget Sound Fly Co. in Tacoma. He quickly made his mark as one of the top sales people in the organization. His desire is to help people just starting out to those with years of experience be successful anglers. His passion for his customers quickly turned into a business of his own and David obtained his Captain’s license certification and started Adventure Angling Guide Service.
We are very proud to have a professional guide on staff who not only knows how to put fish on the boat but understands what customers need to be successful. Adventure Angling is the Puget Sounds premier coastal cutthroat guide service and that is where David loves to spend his time.
David is married with four children. Like most professional guides fishing is a family affair and they love getting out as often as they can to experience what the Puget Sound bounty has to offer.
“Last March I knew the fishing had hit its stride when one morning a client made a cast and before he started stripping a MONSTER cutt inhaled the fly and disappeared. Half a second later the rod shot out of his hand (the line had wrapped around the back of the reel at the end of the cast), he reached out with his other hand and caught the rod and line in mid air. Instantly the line came tight and POP! 15lb tippet snapped and the fish was gone. I rigged him back up while he regained composure.
